Schwarzkopf Graveyard

During the research trip we heard a story about a Schwarzkopf coaster, Greezed, Lightnin, which originally resided in Houston's Astroworld park that was supposed to move from Texas to New Mexico but disappeared. For many years it was rumoured to be in the Larson plant.

Having just been there and seen the train, we could account for that, but what about the track?
I'd found it, as I tend to do with these trips, on Google Earth.

It's located in an empty plot of land in northern Lubbock, again on our route.

We couldn't get into the plot, and didn't want to risk being arrested for trespass (a five-star felony in GTA) so we made do with getting up to the fence and taking photos through that, being careful not to disturb any snakes that is)

The ride, which has been in storage at Joyland was supposed to be getting a service and repaint before moving from there to Cliff's, but I guess that didn't happen.

The track was in a pretty sorry state but it we're no experts in whether it could ever be reconstructed again. We took solace in knowing that at least it hadn't been scrapped.

This is what is across the street to help you get your bearings should you wish to drop by, and I'm not sure many would.
