Skatedaze

Skatedaze is a small FEC in the state of Nebraska and home to another Miner Mike coaster. This one was tough to get on account of their being a no-adult rule in place and the guy in charge not wanting to make a decision to let us ride as the boss was away. We knew that some other enthusiasts had gotten to ride it so we thought it would be worthwhile pushing our luck.

We had to ask him to ring the boss if he was not able to make the decision, which he eventually did and the manager asked for proof of our silly hobby before letting us ride. With no club business cards on us I sacrificed my club membership card and we were quickly ushered in to the corner of the centre in which the coaster resided.

We didn't want to out stay our welcome so the riding was brief, we just took it in turns to ride then let the next one in the group have their go. Once that was done we said a very quick thank you and left, choosing not to see the rest of the complex. The ride was fine, the same as the others like this, but in pink. The park had done a good job with a themed backdrop in the wall.

And that was Skatedaze done, probably the quickest stop of the trip albeit a successful one.
