Joyland

We still had some time to kill after the windfarm center so we went to a nearby mall to do some shopping and pass some time. From there we headed back to Joyland, which is pretty close to the Windfarm place.

Even with that we arrived at Joyland just before opening so were one of the first to get in.

There wasn't much of a crowd, I guess out-of-towners number very low here.

The park is similar to Wonderland with a long strip of rides. Rather than entering at one end however you enter at the centre. Do we go left or right?

Don't even think of coming here with a gun.

A nice little meeting place use for a carousel horse.

We went left and headed to Mad Mouse, a Herschell Jungle Mouse style ride similar to those that litter China. Those ones aren't made by Herschell though and are rip-offs.

It was on this ride that I rode coaster number 1800. I have never pursued the count, the reason for joining the coaster club was to visit places and have holidays that weren't boring, such as being stuck on a beach for 2-weeks. However a nice benefit of doing all this travelling is that my count has gotten quite high, so to hit such a large count is pleasing, but not essential. It was the best ride in the park so I chose well.

The second coaster in the park was the Zyklon, which was down for maintenance :(

The park doesn't have a massive selection of rides, but it does have some good classics.

A view of the Mouse from the chairlift ride that runs along most of the park. Like Wonderland it's a one-way out-and-back ride so be aware of that.

From up here the parks miniature train ride was standing out as a fun looking ride.

The boys enjoying the chairlift. I'm not sure if Tal is having a good burp or not!

Mad props to Christof for being brave enough to drink from this water fountain, one of the best themed ones I think I've ever seen. A nice touch!

Being quite warm, the park had turned on all their misters which cooled us down, but made photos a bit tricky if photographing in that direction.

Coaster 3 is the kiddy ride and this was great. A proper bucking ride designed for kids but great for adults, and where there was absolutely no problem riding. Yay! to the park for that.

Having ridden the coasters we spent quite a bit of time in the park enjoying the park and we were all in agreement that we had to do the train ride. This was great, quite unique and run nice and quickly when it got out onto the back straight.

Another great carousel!

Not ridden by us because we're big enough to sink our rafts and we didn't want to travel wet but this water slide was pretty popular.

Tal and Thomas rode the dive-bomber ride, which looked to be being controlled manually by the operator.

I think he liked it.

The mouse is probably the best ride in the park.

A cute little children's ride.

I missed this, only realising on the way out. This is a sign of a good park putting people's enjoyment before profits. Well done Joyland.

So we liked this park a great deal. It was a perfect way to end the day and despite the day being empty and hard to fill we had to include it, and we're glad we did.

Coaster of the day, and not just because it was a landmark one, Mad Mouse at Joyland
